Go back to new

She is the best thing that happened to me,
Sweet and caring, all that the say is out there.
I had to lose, find, search and accept,
The life and love for me she'd kept.
I found, and kept and cherished this gift,
And knew this new was to never get aged.

Somewhere down this walk through  bliss,
The garden that she'd stroll with me in,
The grass , the flowers , each morning's dew,
I stopped glancing as not so new,
She wanted me, I gave her reasons,
The garden I loved, but the flowers withered.

For her the petals didn't bloom,
She watered it but it didn't seep,
The soul lost essence, the love , the trust, is planted but the soil not deep.

But nature has a way to tell,
A wound is seen through the swell.
The elixir that you fed me sips,
Its essence drawn from thy lips,
I will draw out of my wounds and cuts.
And let it ebb into the roots,
Let it feed our emotions for one another,
Dont leave to wither, I am coming to...

Your garden that we spent our days will grow and effloresce and age with you,
My love for you has not died, I promise.
Your rose will blossom back to new.

Autorun.inf - Virus which turns everything in your portable drive to shortcut folders

This is the type of virus that usually infects external hard disks, usb flash drives, etc.

The usual effect of the virus is that, once infected, the drive shows shortcuts of any and all files or folders that you had in the drive and not the actual file or folder.

Furthermore you cannot open any of these shortcuts as they usually lead to a display message that says that this shortcut links to an executable file (random name .exe) which cannot be opened and asks whether you want to delete the file.

I have tried and tested cleaning up this virus using AVG (free edition) and it WORKS! However, this happens only if you have not played with the files in the drive in anyway. Or if you have tried any other antivirus (NOD32 in my case) and it detected the virus files and YOU quarantined/removed them, yet still the effect persists.

If you have tried all your remedies, not deleted any of the files on the drive or the shortcuts and have NOT formatted that drive then this solution will clean up the virus for sure!

*Check whether the files are not in hidden mode. Go to folder options and make hidden and system files VISIBLE
* Click on “Start” –>Run–>type cmd and click on OK.
* Check your external Drive letter in My Computer
* Here I assume your external drive as G:
* Enter this command.
* attrib -h -r -s /s /d g:*.*
* Original folders will be displayed
* Delete the unnecessary shortcuts.

-----
Let me explain further what this command line executes.
attrib - allows you to see the read/write attributes of a file/folder/etc. Also allows you to set certain attributes
-h - Hidden file attributes
-r - Read only file attributes
-s - System file attributes
/s - Processes files in all directories in the specified path
/d - Processes folders as well
g: - Assumed that the external drive you have connected is drive G (You will have to replace this letter with the drive name the drive that the external hard disk/flash disk/usb/etc you want to clean is named as)
*.* - Performs the function on EVERY file/folder/extension in the drive

Hope this has helped!

Angel

Maybe it was time,
Hours flowing away from mine,
Heart.
Like a stream, racing towards the line that we never reach.
But I hope, that the same stream will carry my
Body.
So that I may touch,
Slowly, softly stimulate your sensual soothing skin.
And touch my lips to yours,
Lips textured as supple as a young rosebud,
moistened in morning dew.
While i settle my fingers in your silkened dense locks,
Much as is entangled,
Deep and contorted my
Soul.

It was the night, the fairest flower, that illuminated
After I woke up to the bright summer sun.
And from then on came the longest night.
Yet she still illuminates, as if upon her,
Selene, that lunatic, shines all of herself!

So seems that same time, were to ebb,
And permit me to receive what had distanced,
A miracle many yearn for!
As Chronos himself angers,
At my selfish victory!
"Forgive me Greek lord, father of time,
Who constantly has everyone racing behind their world.
I can sympathize with your predicament."
Oh, the irony.
But she's my goddess.
My captivating and enchanting seductress.
"It is sad that you cannot stop your own time,
And adore her finesse."
Her scent inviting,
The young, lively and emollient elocution beckoning.

She is now far,
Yet closer than ever.
I'll embrace even the distance, for it will fade soon!
So hold thy peace gods, for transcended from your palace,
She is my angel!

The day's distance

Thousands of miles, tens of meters,
This silence has never been my friend,
to know that you're not around to hear my whispers,
I can't contain my shouts!
It's three in the morning, but not elsewhere,
Is she awake? But, am I already dreaming?
And as distane destroys the togetherness,
I can't be put to my kip!

The sun has set and I'm blinking with the stars,
While she's flirting with the sweet evening breeze.
Constellations mock me from far beyond,
But I can't figure out who is farther away!
To add to my pain the noon heat rages,
If I was with her, there would be dew on the petals in a gentle fog.
The thought of it sizzles till deep inside,
I can't control the heat!

I'm up already and dreaming about her,
She's still in complex dreams,
She's peacefully resting, gives me solace.
I can start my morning peacefully in the least...
But...I can't help missing her all day!

O Fortuna - By Carl Orff

O Fortuna
velut luna
statu variabilis,
semper crescis
aut decrescis;
vita detestabilis
nunc obdurat
et tunc curat
ludo mentis aciem,
egestatem,
potestatem
dissolvit ut glaciem.

Sors immanis
et inanis,
rota tu volubilis,
status malus,
vana salus
semper dissolubilis,
obumbrata
et velata
michi quoque niteris;
nunc per ludum
dorsum nudum
fero tui sceleris.

Sors salutis
et virtutis
michi nunc contraria,
est affectus
et defectus
semper in angaria.
Hac in hora
sine mora
corde pulsum tangite
quod per sortem
sternit fortem,
mecum omnes plangite

From Hell......

Somewhere in,
a corner pit,
in HELL

Dear Earth,

It has officially been 1 month and 25 days since a single lecture has taken place, since all submissions were completed, and about just over a month since the oral examinations were conducted...
Friends have finished exams, enjoyed holidays and are rushing stores to buy new books and pencils for the new upcoming academic year!

However, I am writing to inform you all that I still have 10 more days for my exams to FINISH. With lesser shame I can thankfully say at the least that my exams have BEGUN already!
Mind you however, that if you do wish to see me after exams you only have 13 days of time in which to meet me, as after that I too will be rushing stores to buy books, pencils and anti-depressants as my new academic year will begin soon as well!!!!

Thank you,
Yours ENDURINGLY,

We created it, we can kill it...

I just got this forwarded email from someone, some crap about NASA predicting the world ends in FEB 2019. Its not like the email was captivating enough to be believed, however some thoughts just popped into my mind:

If we knew for a FACT that in the near future (as near as 2019) the world will end, would we still live the tedious and demanding life that we do today?

Would parents spend tens of thousands of dollars on their child's college/further education?
Would kids/teens spend agonizing hours and sleepless nights studying for their degrees?
Would people still work at their jobs which give moderate pay and only 20 usable day-offs per annum?

This is just a predcition 12 years before the world ends. Imagine the scenario starting at about 2018.

Would thieves steal large flat-screen home theatre systems for themselves?
Would cops give a damn? Would elite anti-crime organisations still diligently search for top-notch underworld ganglords? Would you care about that report that needs to be submitted by monday? Would your superior be more or less harsh when you don't submit it?

Would things such as: Law, order, right to possess, education, further education, specialised doctorates, working for a living, seriousness of pre-marital sex, waiting till you're 21 to do things (mostly involving sin-products), and many others that hold this world together matter even slightly?

...and what about the last week before the date?

It is as if the comet would have already crashed. The chaos that would exist at that time would leave nothing for the comet to destroy. Riots, old grudges held, waiting no longer to seriously express yourself, rising quantity of "special victims"...

This world has evolved, systemized and developed in such a manner, that it doesn't need any commet or any worldwide pandemonium to end it. A mere shoving of a stick in the bicycle wheel is more than sufficient to break its momentum and bring the cycle and the cyclist crashing down to the ground!

This kind of makes me think that the systematic functioning, the immense and deep complication, the ultimate straightness of the road that is our world is required to be kept the way it is for its smooth flowing. And, it is us who keep all these factors in line. Hence, we as a whole are far more powerful than any meteor, thunderstorm, explosion or any natural disaster, because none of them will be able to create the damage that we are capable of.

Weather

What is weather?
I mean, it's significance?

It seems like just another parameter in life's equation.
If it changes, so does an aspect of everyday routine.

If you look at it scientifically: earth rotates, revolves, etc., it seems like weather's there because  its there. Fine, well and good. However, WHY is it there? If you're taking god's reference, then why has he created weather? If you take the science as the base, then why does weather need to change? What would it be like without a changing weather? Constant. And if so, what would the constant mode be?

By the time you stop complaining and starting walking around the house with your shirt off during the summers, the rain brings in the cool wind and you're back to being clothed.

Far too much change is induced due to this weather cycle. TOO much for comfort sometimes!
On another day, even I would think this is a useless question, so don't blame yourself! ;) Keep this thought in your mind, sometime soon when the thought does come to your mind; maybe you'll complain why its so hot, or when will this rain stop? Think about this question at that point. Maybe you'll be able to answer it?

House of the Rising Sun - The Animals

Way back in the 5th grade, in Philippines, when I began learning the guitar was when I came across this for the first time.
My guitaring lessons in a nutshell, lasted for 4 weeks. I learned the basic notes, one or two simple natural scales, all the natural and some # and b chords and essential techniques such as slide, hammer, pull-off, power-chords, etc.

After being respectably proficient in these techniques, my teacher decided to give me two songs to learn. The first one being Beethoven's "Ode To Joy". I learned this song well at that time considering it contained mainly notes. The chords I went back to later on as I got better at things. The second song is this: "House of the rising sun" by The Animals. Now this song, I never payed much attention to at that time. It was taught to me during my very last lesson of that beginner course. Contained a mixture of chords and notes. Something I was bad at. My fingers were far too soft and my palm width too narrow during that time.

Approximately 3 days ago I heard this song at my friend's place on his PC.
It completely mesmerized me instantly! Immediately after which I rememberd my guitar learning days!
Upon reaching home, I first downloaded it, secondly downloaded the guitar tabs. And now I've filled in that missing block that should've been filled after the last day of guitar!

For those who would like to listen to this classic, natural composition:

Check this out

Orkut tells me:

You are connected to 44,288,040 people through 182 friends.

Why do you think they tell you that?
Is it an incentive? An incentive to have 44,288,222 friends one day?

AAahahaha....right!

I the Critic

BLOOD DIAMOND

I'd call it 'Informative entertainment'. A new release: this movie, about the african conflict diamonds is by far the most perfect movie,
in terms of emotions,
that I have seen! I'd give it a thumbs up!!!

Ill-required to say, the movie revolves around the story of the African wars over conflict diamonds, the destruction it caused to the country, its people and the market system in general.
I will not sit here and narrate the entire story as it defies the point of appreciasion of the movie.
In a nutshell, the life of a diamond smuggler, dedicated and cold, a native who's life is torn apart by the struggle taking place in his hometown and a journalist who has set foot in the country just to get entangled yet having nothing to do with the diamonds, are all intertwined and changed entirely.

Previously, I wasn't much aware of the history of conflict diamonds too much. Only knew the bottlecap of what it was. After watching the movie, I was drowned in the world of the wars that were waged, the conspiracy that the bigwigs of diamond dealings layed. And in most detail, I studied the itenrary one small dirty stone dug by a slave from the wettened sands of Africa made through different palms and casings, through a multitude of lieus into the clean and beautifully lit glass showcases congregated in a dazzling wedding gift located in a classy boutique on an upperclass street.

Enough from me, ya? So go grab a friend to a theatre near you and catch a view of this film. (Or bloody hell, go alone, but dont miss this one out).

Warning: Scenes may contain violence, mild gore, but no nude scenes =)

Dreaming of a wish!

What if this place was my backyard,
where I could spend many a lazy afternoons,
and the corrupt world and its systems would be as far away as possible,

but

wishes and dreams are an art in its own!!!

Too bad, this place doesn't exist!!!
There's no way it can, otherwise man would have discovered it and desecrated it long back!

Blind emotion

Emotion
I like to fiddle around.
Blindfoldedly walk into paintbuckets,
Let, not my brain, but my emotions control the brush.
And let that sense dominate all other senses.
For, a biased me will  never exude the equitable picture.
Can you see what I see?
Or by seeing, sense what I sense?
And if it is so,
Then it is true, that thoughts need no preaching to spread,
But only an unbiased emotion.

Stop inventing?

Technology is a concept that is hard to avoid noticing in today's world. Everything around us is constantly evolving in shape, size, functionality and ease of use making our everyday lives more comfortable. For laymen "computers" do everything today. Although computers are just a tool comprising of different componenets, and these components are evolving.

Starting from lockable zippers, to quick-seal polythene bags, air-vented shoe soles, keyless entry cars, incredibly convenient yet complicated mobile phones, AI controlled vehicles, more and more powerful telecopes/microscopes/electron microscopes etc., to advanced modulation techniques, star searching algorithms, marvelously advanced semicondoctor applications, bullet train prototypes that break a multiple of the sound barrier, terribly advanced and accurate particle accelerators the list of things the "tech" is pumped into is seemingly endless and increasing in magnitude. The plan is to keep on complicating A.I. (artificial intelligence) so that it will simplify our lives.

Here, we're strictly talking about inventions relating to the physics of the human body and the physical world we live in (including matter, light). The human body is the most complex thing we humans know, because it is the only thing WE haven't created. More specifically, it is the brain. An automatic washing machine, with fuzzy logic for example is very advanced in terms of washing machines, but it uses the same logic that a human washer uses. Even if the machine is advanced, this human washer can also clean, cook and have a conversation!
So if you're catching the drift, the race ends when a human will be able to invent... ...a human?

The question that landed in my head is: When does this advancement come to halt?
A few references popped to my mind suggesting the logical reasoning of the way the trend of this advancing goes towards.

1 I was reading "Darwin's Black Box" a few years back, its a book by biochemist Michael Behe, suggesting an argument to theory that God or some supernatural entity created everything. He suggested that: in order for humans to evolve, more than one different systems would have to arise simultaneously. He claims that such systems already exist in biology and that the existence of "irreducible complexity" is what can disprove the fact that one allmighty designer constructed it.

In one section of that book, the mechanism of the hairs or cilia that are found on bodies of cells was discussed. Re-read the last sentence, and try to realize the mind-blowing complexity we are dealing with here, knowing the fact that a cell is the simplest biological entity that we may know. This mechanism is astoundingly similar to that of our modern geared motor arrangement (rotors, gear teeth, etc.).
So this modern technological mechanism, if you will, is similar to cilia structure.

2 Currently, I am learning computer programming in C language. I've done it before in C++ as well. In any programming you will find SEARCHING and SORTING algorithms. One such algorithm known as SEQUENTIAL SORT is used to take an array (or list) of certain values such as numbers, letters, etc and sort it in an ascending or descending manner (whichever way you pgorgam it to do so).
For example: {8 3 6 9 2 1 3 7 5} is an array of numbers. This needs to be sorted in ascending order. In the algorithm, the design suggests to sequentially search for the lowest number starting from the first number and place it at the beginning, then search again for the lowest number starting from the 2nd number and place at that spot, then next lowest starting from the 3rd and so on untill all the lowest numbers after the current are pushed towards the left, finally arranging a sorted array. So here the number 1 would be pushed to leftmost spot first, then starting from number 3 it would find 2 to be the lowest, and put it in the spot where 3 is, and so on.

If you were to manually try to sort something, and i realised this after noticing a human's method (my own - i ws cheating, trying to perform a step by step run of the algorithm, but instead just sorting it myself), that the logic is similar. As the array is to be sorted ascendingly, you search for the lowest digit, place it aside, then search for the next lowest digit disregarding the first one and place that next to the first lowest, and so on.
Arguably as humans have designed computers, naturally human methodologies are applied. This brings me to my point  that: could realising the final, and ultimately minute anthropomorphic abilities and applying them be the end of advancement of innovation?

3)
Ask yourself this question: Is mathematics discovered or invented?
Personally, I believe that mathematic is discovered. Since DAY ONE, 3 sticks + 2 sticks has always equaled to 5 sticks, whether you or I knew about it. There is not one single person who devised contraptions and drew blueprints just so that if you added 3 and 2 it would come to 5.
As we humans learned the ability within to be able to count and then numerically be able to firstly construct a number system, and use it to conduct certain operations. This may seem like a very rudimentary statement. So i'll elaborate. Successive differentiation of 7x^3 (seven into x-cubed) was always 21x^2 then 42x then 42 and finally zero. However, we humans were able to understand that after first realising the ability within us to be able to count and then numerically able to construct a number system, etc. Then ofcourse devise a way to put it down on paper.
However, addition and differentiation always existed, Calculus is just a way to put all that in language so that we may mutually understand it!!!

So trying to conlude everything: programming is based on human logic by the ability we have discovered, for example, use logic to sort. Although I am unaware of what came first: discovery of cilia or motors, the motor still matches the cilia mechanism, maybe coincidentally!
Finally, the great tool of mathematics, call it an invention if you want to, but it was understood only after we understood the mathematical ability within ourselves!
The day we are able to understand the final detail of how nature has created us (and I mean the final capstone of what creates us and how we coexist with the naturals around us), would that be the day when we can no longer innovate?

Most recent crush!

=)

I swear...this is the truth!!!

Why do people feel the need to swear?
I understand the fact that in an event of surprise, a lot of anger or sheer disgust a word or two may be uttered from the mouth. Or someone may have the habbit, just like "um" or "uhh", to say something foul. Leaving aside the purpose of an exclamatory audible, swear words have shifted into greetings, adjectives, adverbs and nouns or can also be seen as attractive incentives for promoting a certain expression!

"Will Smith don't gotta cuss in his rap to sell a record, well I do. So *&^# him and (*&# you too!" - Eminem

However, this is because somewhere, sometime, someone else did the same thing. Now, trying to trace it back, who, where and when came up with this alternative "fill in the line"-er?
Why is it enjoyed by so many people? Why does one get addicted to it so much? Just as nerds love to read, girls love gossip, drinkers love the booze and pretty people want to get prettier, what do you call someone who is connected to swear words in such an analogy?
One rendition could be the natural tendancy of humans to do something they're told NOT to do.

I don't want to be hypocrytical, so I will clarify firstly that yes, I do swear, cuss, badmouth...perhaps also agree to the fact that I do it more often than i realise my frequency! However, neither am I so much into swearing that such thoughts have started coming to my mind making me feel bad about it!

I was searching for my keys the other day, after reaching in my bag, the usual spot where they lie and not reaching the keys instantly, there was a timeframe of a fraction of a second where I just opened up a cuss-can, and in the next fraction my fingers reached the keys. At the instant I felt the need to take back that partial word which i was about to spit out. It was after that which the thought was raised in my mind as to why this happens?

Upon listening to many people over some time, and even myself sometimes. Each phrase is heavily injected with the dirtymouth syrup, and for what purpose? Although I'm a frequent member of the S and F club, I don't know why i joined, or when I joined.

If you are in this as well, try to give it a thought.
If I am not shocked, surprised, disgusted or insulting someone, then why did I just swear??
And if this thought comes to your mind just when you're about to swear, take note of the immense stream of thought that you'll travel into just on this one little question!!! (If you like to think on things, that is!)
Perhaps the accumulation of such concern may one day begin a search for the root of this fucking problem!!

Happy New Years!!!!

And here I am minutes before another CD of 365 differnt songs comes to an end...
a good listen overall!

This year I came to believe that indeed, life teaches us more and more as we get older.
This was the first year of my college life that distance away from my family was most severely felt!
I guess it is because during earlier years, there was this excietement of being away from parents, the excitement that any 18 year old would have upon realisation of almost complete freedom! Hence as I mentioned earlier that life teaches us more as we grow older, I sort of accepted that freedom and learned to get comfortable with it. Now that the freedom is well-controlled, I begin to tire of it.

More on the professional side of things, I am now very well aware of what exactly this education system demands from me....and the amount is copious!!!
A few months back it used to be extremely painful to open the book and sit for even 2 hours doing calculations over calculations over calculations...
A few months passed, and I am beginning to grow into sitting for the entire night...only I can truly feel how frightening the transition is!

Turning to social aspects, I've began to train myself to be more social with any and all genders (probably not including the 3rd one). Assuming I am half way there, I have to work on the 2nd half, the more difficult one, a WHOLE on its own (do not assume any puns)!!
It's due to exposure to a multitude of cultures and their interpretations and limits of male-female interactions! I descended down from a more extreme mode of social  interaction to a rather conservative one. That implies that all the previous knowledge gained is useless =p !!! However, time isn't an ocean!

Now to the less expected, or not the most interesting of topics FOR EVERYONE, music.
This year I expanded my playlist to beyong commercialised music. I got listening to some bands that only a small fraction of this world would have every put through their ears. MotherJane for one really caught attention! Do have a listen if you ever decide to pop out of commercialisation!
I also developed a great respect for old-school metal (although OLD defines it too directly). Ottmar Liebert, Marty Friedman, Carlos Santana and crew, Avenged Sevenfold, Black Sabbath, Element Eighty, Eric Clapton, Fuel, Jason Becker, Megadeth and Pearl Jam to name a few of those that topped my charts.
I still hate Rap, RnB, Hip-hop as much as I used to last year, still tasteless!
Fave band of the year:

--ALTER BRIDGE--

ENTERTAINMENT!!!
Favorite movie this year: SNATCH - by Guy Ritchie
Hillarious, tricky, admitingly vulgar, one hell of a movie!!!
Favorite puzzle:
Yes I have one this year, SUDOKU, I am sure you must have heard of it! If you haven't then you have too much of a life! Lose some!

Now moving outside the box slightly, this year has also been a puerile for the rest of world. Insane weather, tsunamis, hurricanes, typhoons, earthquakes and heat waves. My town had a frying pan 41celcius topping summer (go convert it in farenheit yourself)!
Then there was continuation of the Iraq war, and the growth of my nails...it happens!
The hullabaloo (spelt pathetically) in the techworld over the much waited WINDOWS VISTA, I thought, is a big news! A beautifully created GUI, somewhat similar to that of MACINTOSH's, yet somehow but not surprisingly more favored.
And to top it off with the most dangerous cherry of it all, the hanging of Saddam Hussein. A news indescribable without risk of debate! Both happy and sad the world looked on to the hanging of this year's most talked of dictator!

The sun did rise and set like everyday, and plants grew and leaves fell. Water flowed immeasurably and the earth made one more revolution, just like every year, some may think. However, it is not until you take a moment to look back on what you did, and what the world did and learned in the past 300 and some days and write about it, that you realise that this year was nothing like from all the others. Just a little bump in the step to show the IMMENSE variety and magnitude of this life and universe, and we think that a year ends after every few calculated days. However, nothing has ended. Infact, what is a year? Since we all know, the sun will set tonight, and rise tomorrow...just like everyday!

Happy 31st of January, 2006!

Old Days...

This sunday I attended my school's reunion..
BACKTRACK: I used to be in SPM since kindergarten, up until grade/std. 3 (a total of 5 years), after which me n my family we moved to the Philippines.
After grade 12 I've come back here.

Going to that alumni meet was the best thing that happened in the entire week!
I met friends that i hadn't seen or heard from for a sum of ELEVEN long years!
The shock in that is that I still was able to recognize people, and vice versa!

Nearly a decade after did i meet people, of whom only little did i know back in school!
In grade three, never did I think think that i'd have a friend who's trying to get into the army, or know a girl who'd become an interior designer, or another friend who'd learn the stock market at the age of 18.

Nostalgia is a great feeling, especially that after a little over half of my life's duration!

!!!HAPPY Valentines DAY!!!

aah yes, once again it is that time of the year when you can show your dear ones how much love them...*raises eyebrow*
----
a day when flowers and chocolates become a part of the basket of daily goods...
a day when parks and gardens are polluted with lovers of all ages...
a day when an Iron Maiden fan will succumb to Ronan Keatin just coz she likes it...
when you go get a haircut, even if you're not scheduled for one, just to look proper...
a day when little kids seem adorable...
when you no longer want to grow that stubble uve been keeping on ur chin...
when there are butterflies in ur stomach from the moment you wake up...
when you can't wait for your dinner in the evening and school seems longer than usual...
when your eyes, ears, mouth and arms wait for only one person...
when all those mushy things u see on tv don't really seem to bad anymore...
----
so take some time out to feel these things if you have never before!
today would be a good start...
but remember that if you TRULY love someone, Valentines Day is but another 24 hours of the lifetime you shall spen together, and most of these things aren't anything out of the ordinary!

What Do You Mean?!

U-Fig by System of a Down
Melt in the sun, melt in the sun!
Who wants to come with me and melt in the sun!
Hide in the sky, hide in the sky!
Who wants to come with me and hide in the sky!
You and me should go outside and...beat em' beat em' beat em' beat em'
All pathetic flag waving ignorent pigs and we'll eat em' eat em' eat em' eat em'

Come join the cause, come join the cause!
Who wants to come with me and come join the cause!
Hide in the sky, hide in the sky!
Who wants to come with me and hide in the sky!
You and me should go outside and...beat em' beat em' beat em' beat em'
All pathetic flag waving ignorent pigs and we'll eat em' eat em' eat em' eat em'
Realise your mind
And we're out of time
It'll it show your mind that you have a mind

There are more lines, but posting them here would be kinda redundant..
I know, at first even I didnt get it, and over here it may seem a little empty, but that is because there is no music, its just they lyrics! In a System of a Down song, music makes a lot of difference! So if you can, listen to the song, while I try to interpret it myself to see if it makes any sense...

Melt in the sun, melt in the sun!
Who wants to come with me and melt in the sun!

[Sarcasm. To start with, let's know that Iraq is a very hot place, with melting temperatures well above 40 celcius]

Hide in the sky, hide in the sky!
Who wants to come with me and hide in the sky!

[Im not sure about this one, it could symbolize bomber jets, fighter planes or innocent people going off to heaven, through the 'hole in the sky' and hide and be forgotten]

You and me should go outside and...beat em' beat em' beat em' beat em'
All pathetic flag waving ignorent pigs and we'll eat em' eat em' eat em' eat em'

[You: the understanding one and me: the voice of the song should teach them a lesson/give them a beating. Who're the "them"? well the 'pathetic flag waving ignorent pigs' ofcourse. This is the term used for the blindly patriotic, forcefully patriotic or the plain ignorant non-sympathetic that do not see all the killing, destruction and greed of "THE MAN"]

Come join the cause, come join the cause!
Who wants to come with me and come join the cause!

[Some more sarcasm, the "cause" is the excuse...excuse such as WMD...come join it, its real, its OUR BUSINESS TO STOP IT, its noble, its good-hearted, etc.]

Realise your mind
And we're out of time
It'll it show your mind that you have a mind

[You're not stupid, you're being mislead...realise that. Look at the situation carefully and you yourself will be able to make the right judgement out of it, if you listen to yourself.]

Captivating song, very beautiful!
SOAD is a group that makes shaking songs on current issues. Their ability to metaphorize things to suit the real meaning is very strong. In their history they've written many songs challenging the 'bad' morals, norms of certain society, they've written songs depicting historical times.

They also do politically biased songs, such as this one, requiring no need to clarify what it is about.
It is a SOAD song, and despite that it contains no profanity, obscenity it is still not for the light hearted! As usual Daron has great backup voice and all. Certainly one of my favorite bands...

Clothes...who needs them?!

Going to be flying in two days...
so i was being the organized, planned, neat person that i am NOT...
and i made myself a packing list thing...
this is how it goes:

-IPod...
--dont forget charger, cable and cd like last time

-cellphone
--ofcourse this is in the pocket, take charger and headset

-cds
--music, videos, G3 concert, other stuff, "whose line is it" episdoes

-acoustic guitar
--clean case, and make sure lock works

-Badminton Racket
--clean cover

-shaving kit (yea i forgot this last time)
-toothbrush also :D
-axe and oldspice
--buy new razors, also take aftershave/cream

-white flipflops (can't walk without em!!!)

and finally

-clothes

...not on purpose, but clothes just took a backseat on the list! And its not even details, actually i left a lot of indoor clothes there last time, which means i need to take more 'going-out' clothes, sportswear etc.

i looked at this list after i finished it and realised how less important my clothes are as compared to my toys.

...a thought well considered!

Studying music....

For me exam week and pre-exam week is the season to get new music...im not sure how that works!!!
But it is during and around exam time that I get a lot of new music.
I guess its because I try to do everything that I can except for studying when I get upto a certain point in that duration of some 2 months.
So...here's a list of the new-found-knowledge that came to existence in the past two months. Mind you, all of it is good music, acclaimed and what not. And a lot of TALENT to go around in this selection...enjoy:

Iron Maiden:
Fear of the dark
Blood brothers
Hallowed be thy name
Run to the hills
Powerslave
Phantom of the Opera
Flight of the Icarus
The Clairvoyant
The Trooper
Where eagles dare
2 minutes to midnight

Apocalyptica:
Path
Kaamos
Bittersweet
Hall of the Mountain king
Requiem of Gods
Metallica covers

Dream Theatre:
Change of Seasons
(its actually a 23minute song and is a cluster of pieces)

System of a down:
B.Y.O.B.
Question
Revenga
Cigaro
Chupa Kabra

Joe Satriani:
My guitar wants to kill your mamma
Secret Prayer
The Crush of love
The extremist
Flying in a blue dream
Red House

Miscallaneous:

Guns 'n' Roses:
November Rain

Marty Friedman:
Anvils
Thunder march
Dragon Mistress

4 non blondes:

What's goin on?

Lionel Richie:
Easy like sunday morning

Megadeth:
Symphony of destruction
Holy Wars

Testament:
Tornado of Souls

Elvis Presley:
A little less conversation
Yellow Hammer:
Lazy

Santana/Steven Tyler:
Just feel better

...as you can see, there's something for each ear..okay maybe some more for a harder ear but still!
All these songs have that 'first impression'. The miscallaneous once give rise to some weird ones that make you go "why the hell do u listen to that one?"...but it was acquired at a certian time and situation...so it works very well, not that im a big fan of Lionel Richie, or 4 non blondes or anything haha...

FINALLY! All exams are over!
things that I avoided for the past 2-1/2 months include:
Social interactions
Outdoor ventures
Regular amounts of TV and Music
Enjoyment...

but no longer is the story so...
funny thing was that these exams were so stretched out that at times I had a week between 2 papers (exams)...one would appreciate the given time so he can review well...but in reality it doesn't happen so. A natural mentality causes you to relax since the time gap is large...and given my naturally large capacity to procrastinate, this was the icing on the cake!
So i would spend time planning with buddies what we're going to do after the papers, even before they were over...

But now i'm glad its over and its time to relax a bit. All nights are fully booked and sleep is plenty!

Once again I'm free to socialize!

Somewhat like my UNICORN...

People have been asking me for ages what my favorite car is. I couldn't answer anyone. I was always left wide-eyed by the bigwigs such as Ferraris, Lambos, Maserati, Pagani, or the road maniacs such as the Cs of Merc, BMWs, etc. However, there are numerous cars to call a favorite. I also didnt like to be called a nobody, for admiring the cars that EVERYONE else likes. For example the Ferrari, everyone likes the prancing pony, but really is it safe to like em???

Now, after years of pondering and searching, I have probably arrived at a car that I can say, is the ultimate road vehicle of my choice (for the time being). That's right, you have an all time favourite car, which takes a while to find (if you do ever find it), and then there's your seasonal favourite. Just like with silly teen girls and male celebrities. Today its Jesse McCartney tomorrow Orlando Bloom then there would be Aaron Carter (everyone knows he's gay but still) or any makeup friendly ma...err BOY (which frankly scares me). Its a jungle out there with these vain girls just latching from one branch to another. Pathetic, I know, but everyone does it sometime, somewhere over something!

Enough with the sidetalk, now, let me introduce to you 2006 Ford Mustang V6 Premium 2dr Coupe. This car has always been sitting in the little corner, with a mirror in its hand reflecting the sun's light into my face. I've looked at a lot of cars, and this one has always come and said Hi to me for a little while. In different forms so it may be: the Mustang convertible, the luxury Mustang, or its cousin the GT40, GT44 supercharged. But it never stays for a chat. Like the girl in a party or something that always keeps looking at you, and then away, making so many gestures, but never opening to a conversation. But finally, she's spoken!

This car:
-4.6L V8 Petrol engine
-OHC 24V
-Gives you 300 HP @ 5750rpm
-and torque 320lb-ft @4500rpm
-comes in convertible luxury, deluxe
-or you can get the GT version

Here's a look:

Although it's cousin the FORD GT, which comes with a nut-busting Supercharged 5.7L V8, and hair pulling 500HP @ 6500 RPM, for some reason, that car frightens me. It's looks scare me. But that doesn't mean its not just another beautiful piece of machine! Its just that the Mustang is an evolutionary piece of road vehicle, that can tear ass around the track just as quick. Whereas, Me, behind the GT, on a highway, wouldn't do me very good.

I'm not happy when I try to fake it!
No!

Ooh,that's why I'm easy
I'm easy like sunday morning
That's why I'm easy
I'm easy like sunday morning

Good News, Bad News

It just struck me amusing today!!!
I saw the headlines today (online) and they seemed all like individual puzzle pieces that when completed, spelled FUNNY!!!
Here's a few [with some justification/explanation]...

1. BMW presents the NEW X5 to Pope Benedict:

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Don't get me wrong on this one please! It was funny, because
a. The POPE never struck me as a "CAR PERSON"!!!
b. That's a powerSUV, not the kind of ride the pope would roll in! I mean gift him a 9-series if you have to, or a Maybach...!!!
c. He needn't go anywhere far with a car! Vatican city is quite small and his overseas trips require an aircraft, which he has!

2. Are Sports Utility Vehicles deadlier than cars:

For all those in the dark, yes that stands for SUV!!!
You know, actualy, i don't want to say anything about this one at all!!!

3. Oprah show, helps FBI nab molestation suspect!!!

AAahahahahahahahhahhaa!!!
This will UP Oprah's ratings??? Or take away her viewers...most of who come with serious problems!!!
Horse****!!!!

4. 9 year old girl pleads guilty for manslaughter!

A 9-year-old pleaded guilty to second-degree manslaughter on Friday, admitting she fatally stabbed an 11-year-old friend after a little feud over a rubber-ball went bitter!!!
MY GOOD GOD!!!!!!! I mean does that drop you jaw or what!!!!!
Why?....... MEDIA: movies, horror-shows, Schwarzzeneger(sp?) films, parental influence, peer influence, psychotic disorder, ugly friend?!, why, why, why??!??!
Who sets the law for these kinds of things, what prison will she go to, her sentence, what do her parents have to say?

Its not humerous funny, its just sad funny...one laughs at this one, just because there's no other emotion!

5. Boy George suspect on narcotics charge!

REALLY?!?!??! WHAT... O.M.G.......!
Look for one of his photos...i mean come on!
HELL YES!...

and lastly, this isn't funny or anything...but i like :)

6. Jessica Biel named Sexiest Woman Alive!

And quite frankly,
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
I will have to agree :)

Take a pic

Only those that can CREATE good music, should be associated with it!

NO "new kids" of Rap, RnB, Hip=Hop, POP, PUNK, EMO, SCREAMO, can be credited to this. IMO they only have the voice or as the recent fad goes THE BODY that can be credited to them. Okay lately a few of em can also play guitar, bass, keyboard, drums, tambourine...but hey...A LOT OF PEOPLE IN THE WORLD CAN DO THAT...

REST all takes place in a little studio room where low-profile musicians, mixers, VOICE ENHANCERS, backup singers work hard to put together the package.

Its degrading the quality and credibility of music today and is misleading the feeble minds and brainwashing them into liking them. I cry watching the thousands of fans of SIMPLE PLAN, or JESSE McCartney, or that imbecile Aaron Carter. Its extremely enraging to see their MUSIC on TV.

Ask yourself: What instrument does 50cent play?
Ask yourself: Did he entirely contribute to his song? Or was it just the voice and his presence in his video required, or available? (Rest all was left to low-key, but talented people)

Albeit the originality of a body, it doesn't take much to bob side-to-side and say a few rhyming words.

I know, this is a hate post!!! But hey...i do HATE it!!!

Take a "pic"...comment on this please, i'd love to argue!!!
"WHAT WOULD YOU GO WITH...KEEPING IN MIND AL WE HAVE TALKED ABOUT!!!
(you don't have to like either of em! That's not what i'm asking!!!)

..::- OR -::..

I hope it'll prove to me how much credibility, originality, creation for purpose, honesty, true talent, ratio of talent:credit, acceptance, and such < sarcasm>"useless"< /sarcasm> things still are valued!

S.O.S.

Lingual communication has and will always be a problem in our world! We still don't have a universal language that EVERYONE speaks fluently (no hand signals allowed).

While MANDARIN is the most widely spoken langauge in the world, its just because CHINA has the greatest population.

While ENGLISH is sooo common, in TV, magazines, etc. a filipino SARI SARI store would say otherwise, or a chinese BBQ restaurant would force you to do a chicken dance to let her know what u want to eat(its happened).

Here are a few heroic attempts at trying to bridge the lingual gap:

1.

Mom and Dad no longer in command!!!

2.

The sequel to crouching tiger.. ?

3.

What flesh are we having today???

4.

Now I'm curious what was MOM???!!!

5.

What kind of a supermarket is this???
